I think I got the Tuesday I wanted off to visit my family post- Thanksgiving, but the bastards scheduled me to work two hours later than normal the Saturday before that, which is when I need to leave.

*bangs head against wall repeatedly*

On the other hand, so totally didn't fail the last Cataloging exercise. I got a B! *does a little happy dance*

I know taking about making dinner is only a small step up from rating your fridge, but last night I tried a recipe I saw on Wolfgang Puck's TV show for twice-baked potatoes, and they are Teh Yum!

I'm just happy, that's all I'm sayin'. ;)

Ooh, ok, I read fic last night!!!

I think I get to thank [livejournal.com profile] spare_change for this one, if you recced [livejournal.com profile] tinderblast's The Mistake, cause I rolled with laughter. And the writing is fantastic as well.

*skips off to leave FB to the author for that one*

I have some other good-looking stuff in my links, and a relatively free weekend coming up, so hopefully I'll be getting back into it.

I thought about doing the 10 unpopular things meme, but people have covered about everything I would have said. Also, I think it's cool how different people on my FL completely contradict each other; yeah diversity!

Lastly, I felt like I needed to do some defriending in order to maintain my sanity and some sort of reasonable time-schedule; no love lost, just the way it needed to be.

Fabulous. I started with the intention of just reading the first part...

Yeah, made it to bed a little late, but well worth it. =)

Wow, thanks for that - I'm glad that someone else does what I do, and starts to read stories before bed and then has to stay up reading them.

Blessing and a curse, right? I love fics that make me do that, but still...

I have to be at work at 7am as well, so yes, I definitely liked your fic. ;)

Last year whilst in the grip of fanfiction mania, I spent many nights up until 3 or 4 in morning finishin a 10 part fic I decided to start reading at 10 pm. Not so good.

When I first found slash (online and by accident) I spent basically whole days reading, and even now I hate to stop reading a great series in the middle just because of sleep.

Oh, I was addicted for nearly a year; like, my schoolwork was suffering (in the middle of my senior year, to boot) b/c I spent so much time online reading.

I'm better now, though I can never tell if that's declining quality or just saturation.

Still plenty of lovely authors out there who can pull me away from my bed for any given length of time. =)
