it gets better all the time, time, time
Aug. 20th, 2005 10:31 amI swear, if I ever get fired from my job, I'll have stapled someone's lips together. Patron, co-worker, someone. Just so you know. ;)
Have been a very busy bunny this week. On Monday, my father drove past a house with a For Rent sign on it. I went by myself, called the guy, saw the place on Thursday, and am moving in (hopefully) over Labor Day weekend.
OMG, I have rented a house. And it is Teh Cool!
It was originally built in 1925 and extensively renovated 5 years ago. So it still has that "old house" feel, but with decent plumbing and insulation. *g* Two bedrooms (friends to come and visit please), a living room and a sitting room, large kitchen, painted wood floors, a back deck, and a front porch. With a swing! Technically, the swing belongs to the current renters, but it'll be one of the first things I replace. Cause, dude, a front porch swing on an old southern house? It's like the law or something.
Now I am very much broke and living off of cheese crackers 'til my next paycheck (security deposit), but I have a place to live and can un-storage my junk. I will post pictures once the boxes are cleared away. *does a happy little dance*
I should start packing.
