Damn, Pagans like to talk. A Lot.

I never thought I'd see someone out-discuss the Baptists, but I have been proven incorrect.

On the whole, a nice weekend. It was either scorching hot or raining blue blazes, but the handfasting was lovely and the people were... interesting. A lot of unique religious viewpoints, as well as plenty of infighting and more than a dollop of sheer fruitloopery. Much like every other religious gathering I've ever attended.

I also found it amusing that the convergence of practicing Pagans, sci-fi geeks and re-enactors is apparently huge. Color me surprised. =)

Speaking of, whilst at McKay's today, I got a copy of Trekkies, which I've always wanted to see. It's cool that they mixed it up with both fen and actors, and actors talking about fen. They mentioned the Q-virus incident. *giggles* Michael Dorn is cute without the 50 foot forehead, and he has a lovely voice.

I also got The Club Dumas, Big Fish (the book), and a Nadine Gordimer story collection. I love reading so much teen fiction for this class I'm taking, but occasionally it's good to confirm that one can read other things. Though I do plan shortly to tuck in to Edith Pattou's East, which arrived from half.com today and is my BBYA project book. I'm a conundrum in action.

Work's all in a flurry b/c the old residents are leaving and the new ones will be here in two weeks. Joy, a new set of people who don't know how to write their names down on request forms or operate the copy machines. Sometimes, I worry about my future healthcare needs. Sweet people, most of them, but clueless as all hell.

I am glad you had a nice weekend. Pagens really do like to talk alot. The big Pagen group that I used to hang out with loved to hear themselves talk. Maybe since they are the minority they feel like they need to be heard more of the time.
