Someone help me, my cat is on crack. She keeps trying to bite the mouse (hee) and knocking my strategic piles of junk off the computer desk.
Work pretty much blew all around, which kinda dampened my already chilly day. The scheduling boss only has me signed up for 16 hours next week, even though they've been shipping us assloads of stuff and we're chronically behind. He also managed to schedule me to work during my first class of the new semester.
Is it really that hard to avoid 3 chunks of 3 hours each when someone can't work? Especially when they handed you that schedule in writing two weeks ago. *kicks something*
The new general manager is supposed to be here by next week though; should be interesting, as he seems cool, but forceful and I suspect he's younger than the two senior assistant managers.
Strangely enough, someone asked me today about the Robert Jordan Wheel of Time series, mentioning that he read a lot of fanfiction with that series as a corssover. I don't think I would just go around blabbing to people about my...extracurricular...reading habits, but whatever. *shrugs* He said he reads off ff.net, so he may not like the smutty stuff anyway.
Two years ago I would have been like "you read what?" now I'm just like "you read from ff.net?" *amused nose wrinkle*
I had a ton of stuff to do today, but I really don't like the cold, and it's freezing outside (according to my southern blood, anyway), so I holed up with the computer instead.
I really enjoyed
rochefort's amusing Uninvited Guest, the sequel to The Best Man, both Sirius/Remus.
Am also now sadly hooked on
florahart's smutty little story about the lesser known aspects of Parseltongue, for which I blame
ficbymarks. Find the first four smutty parts from here.
Off the do a little furniture rearranging and read some more fic.
ETA: Oh, and I finally broke down and got a paid account. Icons galore, whoo! ;)
