I bought Jo Graham's Black Ships! And Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South, of which you should watch the BBC miniseries if you haven't yet. No, it doesn't star Patrick Swayze, though I've watched that one many a time as well. And read the novels, in my young and tolerant of written bluster phase. I remember those days, before I gave a book 20 pages and dared it to make me toss it aside. *sigh*
Apropo of nothing, I'm watching All That Jazz for the very first time. God, Roy Scheider was hot. I mean, I've liked him since he told us we needed a bigger boat and then commandeered the SeaQuest, but that's just a damned sexy man. Thought I'd throw that out there.
