A bird has built a nest in one of my unused herb pots. With an egg in.

That just makes me all grinning-foolish, b/c it's spring and warm, and there's a bird with an egg right outside my door.

Also, I watched Secondhand Lions last night while putting together my legos and really enjoyed it. Yeah, it was cheesy and more than a little silly, but it was funny too, and Michael Caine with a "texas accent" and a pump shotgun is not to be trifled with.

I think that Sixth Sense kid will be a decent actor, if he can, yanno, make people stop calling him "Haley." Joel Osment, or maybe Hal. Hal Osment.

It could work.

His voice was squeaking 90 to nothing though. Gave me CoS flashbacks. =)

Between usage statistics and license agreements, gonna call tonight the most boring lecture ever.

And I'm now in disgrace b/c I started reading a TAR recap, and it happened to be a very funny one, so I was sitting at my workstation holding back the *snortgiggle*, and now my prof thinks I'm Very Odd Indeed.

Someone took 5 years off my life this afternoon by attempting to merge into me and I had to jerk out of the way so fast I nearly boomeranged back into the other lane of traffic. I'm sure someone else out there is telling their friends about the nutball in the teal Grand Prix that almost hit them. =)

Many thank-yous to the marvelous student worker who put my desperately needed 3 day reserve book on a 5 day reserve instead. May the Library karma be with you. (And lest anyone's nose get out of joint, no one else in their right mind would want this book except for my class, and there's a stack of other titles to choose from.)

Everyone should go read [livejournal.com profile] amanuensis1's The Sea and the Shore, an absolutely exquisite adaptation of The Little Mermaid. I read it twice through before I could be coherent enough to leave feedback, and I'm still rather "guh!" It's like poetry, only in prose. *g*

Ooh, and a new chapter of Stealing Harryas well. It was a good evening.
