Weird day, very up and down.
Work was annoying b/c the "time management" assistant manager was breathing down our necks. Time quotas are The Devil and having someone bellow over the loudspeaker about where we should be is not happy for my mood or my nerves. I spent the entire time composing vitriolic mental LJ posts and then discarding them.
It's like free therapy. ;)
On the other hand, I got to do a front window Xmas display, so if you weren't driving past the Knoxville BandN at 9:30 this morning you missed a chance to see my ass. I'm sure you're all heart-broken.
Scored a free ring on the way to lunch from the jewelry seller outside the University Center. I was standing there when she found a ring with a bit of messed up filigree and was like "you want it?" Why yes, yes I do.
Cataloging was interminable. Turns out I screwed up on my last exercise, but got an A anyway. However, the girl who did the exact same thing I did got a B+. She's kinda pissed, and rightly so.
Had a nice chatty dinner with friends, then did homework. We decided that Librarian Harikiri would be two parallel slices across the gut with copies of the Chronicle of Higher Education. I was sorely tempted.
To sleep now. I really want to read the next part of
rushlight75's Pendulum series, but will hold off until tomorrow when I'll have time to savor it. =)
