Sorry about that. My hotmail account is the most screwed up thing in the world right now and I have NO CLUE how to fix it. I'm not getting emails from most of my lists, but I'm not bouncing, and I am getting emails from some lists. Unfortunately, I'm getting emails from lists I don't give a shit about, and the ones I'm not are the ones I really wants to see. *collapses whimpering*
OK, better now, if marginally. I need to be finishing my application for UT-Austin, but I'm being a tool and checking LJ compulsively. I gave in and read the "spoilers" last night, but have determined that I really don't want to read anymore. Since I'm not exactly the queen of self-control, we'll see how this goes. Dammit, I can't wait! *please ignore the girl twitching in the corner*
Mmm, I got the Evanescence cd for my birthday (a day early), and its lovely. There was almost a full-scale turf war in American Popular Music over our selections for the 1990s listening tape. There are too many songs for us to use, but no one wants their song cut, and I can understand that. However, even with the spirit of fairness, I wouldn't call "Bootylicious" one of the foremost factors in 90s/00s music. Many of my shortlisted songs also appeared on the list, which I will probably post once its finalized. Its going to be a really interesting mix, and I was really surprise by who picked what songs. I wouldn't have pinned obnoxious bubbly girl as a Metallica fan, for instance. Go figure.
