I'll take Slash for a thousand, Alex!
Mar. 21st, 2003 01:37 amMeh, I'm tired and I haven't really studied for German yet, but I'm going to sleep soon. I'll study tomorrow. (Like that'll happen.)
I feel very accomplished; with the exception of doing my German, I got everything done that I needed to do, and am feeling much better about graduate school applications. Of course, I still have an assload of workl on those and for classes, but at least I'm making some headway, and tomorrow's Friday.
Trivia was fun tonight, even though I felt a little queasy for some reason and thus didn't drink anything. We lost, as usual, and the sound system sucked, but it was a small group of good friends and the conversation was nice. I got ragged on for going to library school, of course, but really I have to expect that, don't I? I make no pretensions towards being cool, but hopefully I can be an intermediary step in upgrading the popular opinion of librarians. Or maybe not. =)
I stared at a really cute guy all night. Well, he wasn't great loooking, but he had glasses and he was doing this whole sexy, sitting in a pub studying, drinking beer and smoking thing. Le sigh. I think I caught him looking at me a time or too, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.
GayHarry was in tonight, though he wasn't wearing his sweater-vest. For anyone who doesn't know, GayHarry is this giy who plays trivia when we do, and he looks exactly like the picture
ivyblossom uses as an LJ icon. I know she's said that's really supposed to be her, but I also read it as a good Harry pic, and this guy looks so much like it that its frightening. The rest of our friends think
thepsychicclam and I are nuts cause we kept giggling, but I couldn't help myself.
The music store down the street is going out of business, and they have their used cds for 30% off, so I indulged just a bit. I got Toad the Wet Sprocket's Dulcinea, The Craft soundtrack, and (amazingly enough) a copy of Queen Sarah Saturday, so now I've gone from no copies to two. I guess I'll resell the extra on Half.com.
Now going for a few brief hours of sleep before cramming German idioms and infinitive constructions into my head. Peace out, yo! ;)
