The moment I wake up, before I put on my makeup...

Saw My Best Friend's Wedding DVD at Target and now that damn song's in my head. If I suffer, everyone suffers! ;)

Went to see Calendar Girls as a girls' night out, and it was every bit as sweet and estrogen loaded as I expected. There were about 60 people in the audience, less than half a dozen of whom were male, and only about a dozen of whom were under 40, the five of us included.

Still, if I look half as good as Helen Mirren or Julie Walters when I get their age, I'll be very well pleased.

I found out that the other new hire at the Med library is a good friend of mine from Info School, so I'm really excited. I think it's amusing that all four of us who were looking for jobs got them within days of each other: me and her at the Med lib., another girl at the Main lib., and another at the Law lib. Ph34r us, for we are super-grad-students. ;)

Made the mistake of starting [livejournal.com profile] ajhalluk's Dissipation and Despair, the sequel to Lust Over Pendle yesterday afternoon, emerging 10 chapters and many hours later only to go to bed far too late. I have five chapters to go, and won't get to them until after work tomorrow. *whimpers*

I thought it was good, for what it was intended. It's not an Oscar-gold think piece or anything, but it's really sweet and charming. We all had fun watching it.

forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart, and i will love you ...
